World Cancer Research Fund is delighted to be one of the official charity partners of the next Dry January, the annual movement through which millions of people stop drinking for one month.

In 2017, over five million people took on the challenge and we hope you’ll join us in 2018 to give up the booze for a month and raise money for groundbreaking cancer prevention research.

What do I get?

Start the year feeling healthier and happier – sign up to Dry January now and get:

  • Access to a free app to help you keep track of your month, including calories and money saved. The app will also give you access to a series of exclusive healthy recipes, plus delicious, non-alcoholic drink suggestions to go with it!
  • Regular support emails to make your month easier and more fun.

Why should I sign up?

There are lots of good health reasons for cutting down on alcohol – and reducing your cancer risk is just one of them.  Our research has linked alcohol consumption to a greater risk of six types of cancer.

We want to encourage as many people as possible to take part in Dry January for us. Those that do will discover the incredible benefits of ditching the booze, raise awareness of the link between alcohol and cancer risk, and raise lots of vital funds.

- Caroline Moye, Head of World Cancer Research Fund UK
